Issues The Will Require Our Help
Your oven/stove is a hard-working appliance and there are a lot of different issues that can arise. If one of the following issues arise with your oven, give us a call.
It isn't turning on
The cause of this problem can vary depending on whether you have an electric or gas unit. For gas units, it can be caused by a bad valve, igniter, or gas control. For electric units, it can be caused by a broken wire, broil or bake element, control, or just inadequate power to the unit.
This problem is best left to professionals because there is a risk of harm due to electric shock if you are not trained to repair ovens.
The light isn't coming on
This problem could be as simple as a bad bulb, which is easy enough to replace on your own. If you do that and the light still isn't coming on, it could be happening because of a broken connecting wire, electronic control, or light switch.
Not preheating to the right temperature
If your oven is heating up to a temperature that is higher than what you set it for, you are going to need to recalibrate the oven. Your owner's manual will explain how to do this. If that doesn't work, give us a call so we can figure it out for you.
It isn't self-cleaning
The door has to lock properly in order for the self-cleaning mode to start. If the door isn't locking properly the mode will not initiate. If that is not the problem, it could be caused by a bad thermal fuse, oven control board, temperature control thermostat, or wiring. Our professionals can figure that out for you.
There is a problem with the door
This is likely caused by a bad hinge and that will require removing the door and the side panel. Though it sounds simple, it is best left to those who are trained and experienced.
